Adobe Flash Player
Adobe Flash Player is a free Android app that enables users to view content created with the Adobe Flash platform. Flash has been used to provide special effects for website interfaces, to serve as a web video platform, and is the basis of many free video games that can be played straight from the browser.
Flash Player works either in conjunction with the browser, or can be used to play discrete .SWF files independently. As Flash is a multimedia platform, many audio file formats such as MP3 can be embedded within Flash content. The popular FLV video format is also based on Flash, and Flash Player allows for playback of FLV files.
Flash is cross-platform software, and content created with the Flash platform will work across all devices that support Flash Player, independent of their operating system or hardware.
Android no longer officially supports Flash Player as of Android 4.0.x, but you can still sideload archived versions of Flash Player for devices running Android 4.0.x.
